If I need it, it goes. There is a difference between want and need. If I want it, well I try to keep it lightweight. I am not paying 3 times the price to shave off an oz though.
I did switch from a Jetboil to a BRS stove with a Toaks 550ml pot. Cut the weight in half and saved money at...
I saw an article a few months back where they x-ray a pig after it was shot behind the shoulder. I think it was 308 at 100 to 130 yards. Lets just say I was surprised with seeing lead. It wasnt a lot but the off side had little specs of lead disbursed. Rather enlightening. I did not...
Make them both 6.5 PRC, go lightweights builds. You could really go 6.5 PRC for hers and 300 WSM for yours. The crazy part is, look at the 6.5 PRC shooting 143 ELDX at 500 yards and then look at the 300 WSM shooting 180 or 200 at 500 yards. 6.5 has like 1600 foot pounds, 300 has 1700 to...
My buddy put one unit in his house. He has a very open concept and only 1800 square feet. It worked great, he does have a fireplace as a backup but never has used it. While a gas furnace is usually cheaper, not everywhere has gas lines. If you must have propane then, well that gets...
The one I purchased is up to date. They release a new update yearly that is a like 30 bucks. Some of that you can do yourself. IE if Barnes adds a new bullet you use but you have an older quick load then just add the bullet manually. You have the option to do it with powder too I think but...
Well after thinking about it for a while, code for years, and playing with Gordon's Reloading Tool. I finally pulled the trigger last month and purchased it. Why did a wait so long. The program is great for me. I have tons of powders that the books do not show for given bullet weights in...
The 7 PRC is a nice cartridge. Think of it as a 7 Rem Mag set up for heavy bullets. That being said I find myself going with shorter and shorter barrels as I run a can on everything. A 18 or 20 inch 6.5 PRC would be really nice can or not.
Barrel length does not even come close to what a suppressor does. A good one will change a rifle completely. You will still hear the crack of the bullet breaking the sound barrier but it makes it quite.
I find it amazing, how tribal people get about a brand. I love Tikka but currently do not have one in my safe. I have Christensen Arms Ridgelines x 3, Savage that is 40 years old I think 342 in 22 Hornet. Savage 110 Scout in 308, a Savage Axis in 25-06 and a bunch of ARs, Lever Actions and...
Two sets of rules. This is no different. These idiots all fly private jets and live in 20,000 square foot homes with heated pools, but they lecture you on your greenhouse gas emissions.
Rules for thee but not for me.
