130gr Berger OTM, 130gr Sierra Gamechangers, 156gr Berger EOL, and 140gr Berger Hybrids all with H4831sc to get the barrel broken in then I plan on using N565. Those 130 Gamechangers are wicked out of my. 260AI, can’t wait to see how they shoot out the SAUM. Happy Thanksgiving and good luck with...
Correct @Wilderlife. We removed some twist from the cables and couldn’t get it past 30..25 DL. Glad it’s working for you, it’s a sweet bow. Congrats on all the kills.
I wasn’t asking. I would have preferred to have this conversation with you in a private message and not in this thread. Just giving praise to a fellow CO hunter and looking for real life ballistic information. I didn’t mean to offend anyone, my apologies.
It was hairy Saturday and Sunday, we made due with our tent stove. Monday things cleared up and the rest of the week was pleasant with cold nights though. We came across a group of 6 hunters who came down from Steamboat. The elk stayed high that whole week, didn’t see any below 11,000 ft. We...
Congrats on the bull! Curious what you were shooting? We were in Yampa the night before Halloween and weathered the snowstorm those first couple nights also.
Amazing bull. The EOL is devastating as is the Hybrid or OTM. Looks like *** Mountain. What can you share on the terminal performance on the EOL after butchering the bull?
I’ve been shooting a RX7U for the last 1.5 year. I shot a Z1S at the pro shop and really liked to rawness to the cam feel. If only they made it in a 33 ata I’d purchase one, my DL IS 31.5 and the Z1S only goes up to 30 inches if I recall.
If you have your 260/260AI throated to a .120 FB you will encounter none of these issues and can capitalize on the extra case capacity compared to the 6.5 CM. You may be able to load a longer bullet like the 156gr EOL EH into a 6.5 CM but what is it shooting at, 2450 fps If you can find R23/R26...
Phenomenal round for Elk and all other big game out West. The only drawback is finding brass. I scooped up 600 pcs years ago when the Norma brass was readily available. Word is ADG will be doing production on 300 WSM bras next month.
Easy to tune a load for, efficient not to mention manageable...
+1 for the 300WSM. My go to rifle is a Sako TRG 260AI. Bought a 6.5 PRC Tikka but I am going to rebarrel it to a 300WSM. Not much of an improvement between the 6.5PRC and the 260AI to warrant spending extra on dies and brass. Between the 260AI and the 300WSM it covers me from antelope, deer, elk...
