    With or without a round in the chamber? I'll assume with, could just be a tight chamber. SAMMI spec allows something like .006" of variance and this could make some factory ammo have a tight fit. Did you try more then one type of ammo?

    thanks Karl, I'll give them a look. I really like the idea of opening out as well, that's why I originally went with Eberlestock. Really just don't feel like I gained anything but bulk and loss of maneuverability with a harness.

    The Eddie Ba the Eddie Bauer fleece lined pants are pretty stinking warm. I can sit stationary in them for several hours into the low 40s and if I put on a decent pair of thermals I easily get into low 30s.

    Eddie Bauer is one of my favorites, great in the woods and great around town. LL Bean as well, I just tend to gravitate more towards Eddie as I feel it’s just as good with a better price point.
