    Slumberjack SJK Outpost 4 Tipi

I know they are calling this a 4, but just looking at the specs it's the same size as other manufacturers 6 man.

    Slumberjack SJK Outpost 4 Tipi

Good looking set up. Their website states the dimensions at 155"x155"x78" which is massive. Can you confirm these dimensions next time you have it set up? Do you plan on using it with a nest, if so which one did you choose?

How much longer before the 30-06 becomes an "antique?"

I forgot to mention, even over here the 30/06 and 308 seam just as popular as the 7x57, 7x64, and 8x57.

How much longer before the 30-06 becomes an "antique?"

I often find myself following this same line of thought and have to remind myself that Rokslide, and all other hunting forums, is a very small segment of the hunting community as a whole. Anyone care to guess at a percentage; 2%, 3%, maybe 5% of hunters post on all forums combined? Not every...

Tikka wood stock - why not?

I currently live and hunt in Germany where, in the winter months, it is raining more often then not. All of the rifles I have here wear a wood stock.

    Armed services/veterans/leo/first responders

I feel you, kind of. My wife's deployment was extended 2 months because of covid, but yesterday was officially her last day and is out processed. I should have been in Namibia April 10th-20th.

Would this idea be a waste of money

Bed it and float it, give the original barrel a good cleaning and I bet it'll be darn close to MOA if not better. I'd do what I could to keep it as close to original as possible. I got a 10/22 from my grandpa that I built up, I kick my self in the butt every time I think about how I should...

    Slumberjack SJK Outpost 4 Tipi

Absolutely the best price I've seen for what it is even compared to the other imports. It has pretty good specs for a large tipi (comparing to the SO 4 man). Just more tent then I want for a solo run. Hopefully they'll come out with a mini.

ISO 7WSM owners to answer some questions

I reload for a 7wsm. I really don't like the gun too much (a Winchester coyote) but I love the caliber so much I can't seem to part with it. Unfortunately I will be in Germany for the next 3 months and won't have any of my load data available to me until then. One mistake I did make was to...

    Stone Glacier Re-Warming Drill

I'd bet as well, but I guess I'm just not my question clear enough. Do you know if they were using Gen-III ECWS level 2 bottoms, was it Underarmour cold gear, maybe something from beyond clothing? There are a lot of synthetics (poly or nylon) out there, just curious which one.

    Stone Glacier Re-Warming Drill

Yes, I understand that. Do you know what synthetics they were using as a base layer?

    Stone Glacier Re-Warming Drill

They didn't seem to fond of merino base layers at all. I'm curious as to what synthetics they are using for base layers.

    Killing the lead cow?

It is very frowned upon here in Germany to shoot the lead bache (bache= female pig). These old females are known to be the smartest and know where to lead the others. They know what fields to feed in, what oaks will be dropping acorns, or when the walnuts are ripe. They know where the worms...

Patching hunting puffy Jacket and vest

Put a small fabric patch in behind the tear, then glue tear together with liquid stitches. The fabric patch keeps the glue from getting on the down and the glue holds tight, dries clear and is flexible. This has worked really well for me.
