Good deer forsure! I keep telling myself I’m going to start shooting the ole high shoulder “light switch” shot but I haven’t been able to make myself try it yet. My issues on eldm have been under 100 yards except for a white tail at 200+ that didn’t lose a drop of blood with no exit.
I have a 5 pin older spot high sight and a spot high release. Both are well built, that has me leaning towards the fast Eddie xl but my buddy swears by his hha. I like the look of the spot Hogg but the actual dial knob on the hha looks better and the brighter pins peak my interest.
Both...
I was looking to put the triple stack on the grinder mount to save money and keep it simple. If I buy a whole new sight I’ll probably go adjustable haa or spot Hogg.
Yeah that’s what I’m getting at. I like the idea of fixed pins, I also like the idea of verticals pins to clean up the sight picture some. I’m not sure if anyone has tried it and been successful.
I had a question about the triple stack as well but kinda thinking in a different direction.
I have a spot Hogg now, it’s old but it looks like the grinder. The pin guard is basic as in I can’t add a rheostat light. I’ve thought about getting a triple stack and setting the pins at 20, 30, and...
I was doubtful that a similar projectile from the same company would give me a blood trail so I never tried it. I’ll give the sst a chance. Have y’all tried the black tip Sabre from aac on game?
I have yet to get a blood trail at any range with the eldm’s on deer and hogs. I love hunting with my ar but hate tracking animals I’ve shot with eldms so much that I’ve thought about ditching the Grendel.
You referring to Mexico or Argentina? I enjoy cooking and eating them as much as I enjoy hunting them. Quail over dogs was fun, pheasants is next on the list, I haven’t duck hunted in years, I did enjoy the few goose hunts I tried. If I could only hunt one animal for the rest of my life I’d pick...
Awesome pictures. I’ve been looking at dove hunts in Mexico. Shorter flight, open bars, and the ability to bring the meat back. Not sure if that’s 100% true but I haven’t seen where it isn’t true.
I was in the same boat as you. I wanted to learn something new and I got a used bow from a buddy. Took it to the archery shop to make sure it was to go.
I sighted mine in last weekend. Scope was awesome and clear all the way to 6x everything higher that was unimpressive to say the least. Almost as if you swapped scopes when I went over 6x
I mmm not sure that’s legal in Alabama. I’m almost positive that thermal can’t be used for hunting. Id guess a night vision scope would be out as well.
I was referring to the one you tested. The triangle reticle seems dumb but useful as a red dot. I like the mildot and the illuminated crosshair reticle in the Accupoint line.
