    Home gym setup?

Following. Local gym monthly prices have gotten too high here in my opinion. I used to pay $20/month before the gym closed but now can't find an option for less than $60. I have friends that pay over $100/month for crossfit which seems outrageous.

    Cold Plunges?

Been doing the cold plunge just with cold water in the bath tub for a few months. I love the feeling when you get out and begin to warm up, seems like this continues for at least an hour. Great start to the day.

    Brown bear clothing recommendation

Merino base layers and then your hunting jacket/pants and if you need it you can put your puffy over them. A wind breaker jacket will be valuable as well. I run the sitka lightweight hoody instead of a merino base layer. Puffies are so nice and light and compressible even if you don't wear them...

    Brown bear clothing recommendation

If you go for puff jacket/pants be sure they're synthetic so you can dry out.

    Synthetic Puffy Jacket Options

It's a bummer sitka quit making the kelvin lite hoody. I really liked that synthetic jacket. I have the aerolite and I like it - surprisingly warm. I wouldn't take a down puff into the woods. Kuiu puff claims to be a waterproof down, maybe it's fine, but I'd stick to synthetic.

Synthetic type boot for Alaska sheep hunt?

I used the Crispi Colorado on some goat hunts. For me, I wished they were a taller boot for ankle support in that terrain. They did much better than my kenetreks at staying dry and they dried out much quicker. My kenetreks would take 3 times as long to dry out. I'm also worried about tearing a...

    Boot Fitting

I often struggle with this as well. I'm almost always between two sizes within a half size and struggle with the decision. I'd echo don't wear them outside or most places won't take them back.. recently made this mistake with a pair of Crispi. I think it's difficult to know how well a pair of...

I've only heard good things about Kodiak Outdoor Adventures. Not sure if they'd have any openings this fall, though.

    Best boots for ankle support

I also have ankle issues and tend to go with a taller boot due to this. Going to check out the Hoffman explorers

    Suggestions on tents

Anyone mention hilleberg? Used them in AK on goat hunts and worked great in some really crappy weather. You won't be standing up inside them, though.

Tired of former pro athletes turned hunting celebs?

I think it's good for hunting in a way. These people have a voice for the endeavor even if they're less experienced.
