    Loaded 4 Rounds this morning. 57 gr. Imr 4350, f210 primers, winchester cases. Guessing 2800 fps by book. 3 went into .5 inch with clean bore fowler. 4th shot opened group to 7/8 inch. Cbto was .098 and rifle likes them .010 off lands. Rem 700s are throated long. Will be second week in October...

    Any 4350 powder will get you close. I have a box of these but haven't tried them yet. I pulled the tip out of one and the jacket is pretty thin. Will probably be an explosive bullet. I guess I should give them a try this season. Let us know your results.

    Anyone have a tricked out .22 pistol they hunt squirrels with.

    I put a $70 truglo on the 10 inch ruger mk iv today and zeroed with cci std vel. All the 2 shot groups were less than a quarter inch and then shot a 12 shot group that came out 9/16s.at 25 yards. I'm pretty sure it will shoot a good deal better than I can.

    In my experience H or imr 4350 .010 off the lands soirra bullets. Some rifles do best with 150 gr bullets. For hunting I use sierras 150s and 165s .the 165 bthp game king will usually get you to the lands if it has a long throat.

    Several years back they started this with deer hunting. Like a bass tournament. Land owners would allow a hunter to hunt on his property and whoever got the biggest buck won. I am really glad that didn't take off. Not quite the same but a competition with prize money involved.
