That tent for $205 is a steal! If I didn't already have one... it would be mine!
For real though... PMd you on the encounter 290 fleece and encounter pants
I’ve only done two archery elk hunts. Both in Colorado but I’m starting to want to look elsewhere. I agree, the populations in the 3 units I’ve hunted have been kinda low it seems. I know I’m still learning how to hunt elk but still felt like it was hard to locate a bull. Saw probably 40 cows...
This was also my experience in SW Colorado last week. Got into some pretty intense bugle battles with some hunters a couple of times though.
Got close to a couple bulls but they spooked before I saw them. Tough when they don’t respond more than once if at all.
Looking to make an upgrade of a sausage stuffer for this season. Let me know if you have one you want to part with. Ideally 15-20 lb capacity.
Also open to suggestions on a make/model you’ve been happy with.
Thanks and happy harvest this fall!
I've got a Kuiu 4000 Pro LT bag in Verde (used 2 seasons). I need a lot more space, so I bought a bigger one. In fact the guy I bought it from still has the frame and suspension if it would fit you.
I'd sell it for for $110 TYD. PP F&F or Venmo.
I appreciate the honesty! No offense taken! I'm aware of some folks wanting information without putting in effort, I also understand being new to hunting the West and overwhelmed on where to start and just trying to ask questions and get started.
Anyway, I'm really not looking for an easy way...
Interesting, I'll check that out. I've used onx for a long time and have been going through mark livesay's elk e-scouting course. I suppose the best thing to do is just test that knowledge on my own and learn first hand over the long haul.
I appreciate the input!
Hey all,
This year will be my 2nd year with an archery elk tag in Colorado.
I've chosen to not use any guide or outfitter services because I really want to learn on my own and DIY it. I would be open to hiring a guide in the future to learn how to hunt elk better, but I dont want a full on...
Thanks for the reply... Yea, thats understandable! Everything is insanely expensive... including the top end of hunting/back county gear.
I've accumulated quite an assortment of mostly Kuiu gear and some FL stuff, Ive had good experiences with both, but have not tested alongside some cheaper...
