there are molle clips that are just bungee with a hook built in and would be a simple addition to shoulder straps. if someone wanted to use a gun bearer setup but they are concerned with the bottom part, a small dump pouch or other molle pouch could work as well. another option would be...
Watching the populations decline so much and seeing more and more predator tracks makes it hard to get excited, so I'm trying to learn bear hunt as it can possibly help deer and elk populations even a little bit
we used to do a thanksgiving dinner at deer camp every year when there was a big group and one year someone fried the turkey then dumped the oil nearby, the next day a guy in another camp down the way saw and shot a cougar which must have been coming in for the oil and carcass.
i've never done a guided hunt at all so my input is without any personal experience to go off of, just some things i would look at if i could afford one.
i wonder if the bad elderberry crop there is similar to where i hunted last year in WA, i went there a couple weeks ago to harvest berries due to there being tons last year and when i got there, no berries and no leaves even. perhaps the cold snap earlier this year dropped them early
i would look at other outfitters in the area, if you are starting out you could offer something different than others, whether it is packages that include more like fishing, lodges/cabins vs tents, pictures of the animals you see to show the possible animals that could be taken. price is one...
i have been solo hunting the past few years. i didn't hunt this last season so i don't know of the changes overall but last year was pretty sad for deer in the areas where i was. i did see some tracks in the snow a week after season when i went to try picking berries and they looked like a big...
I've never hunted the blues but I've been thinking about going down there to try a new area because where I've been going has shown less and less deer.
i have thought about spring bear in idaho as well, trying to get employment figured out as it was questionable this past summer/fall so i did not hunt at all. i have been looking at the discounted tag units.
New member in E WA. i've been around deer hunting my entire life and got out of it for a few years due to school, work, and then kids. i have realized that i am basically new to actually hunting so i am starting at the beginning again and working to learn. my time in the woods is limited due...
if the distance is short i would look at the sub-x bullet to be loaded in the 30-30 but the one i can shoot is a single shot so i'm also not limited to round nose bullets. i saw that nosler has a round nose ballistic tip i believe.
my calf is just past 17 inches so i'm not sure if it is better to size up to XL to make room for any bulk due to clothing or if the M/L would be better. i would like the knee high size and any color, coyote, multicam, ranger would be my color preference.
