I was in a similar vein of thought. The 6.5 Creedmoor with a 147 started at 2600, according to Strelok, bucks the wind better then a 6mm 109 started at 2900. The difference was 2” at 600 yards. Everything I have been reading points to that extra recoil of the 6.5 not being worth it.
So just an update. Across 8 ten round groups with 108 ELDM’s and 105 Matchburners using 6.5 Staball and Varget my average is 1.26 MOA. I am really impressed with this little arc.
This may be a dumb question. With the 115 DTAC's is it out of reason to run the regular Nosering for elk and the deep cut for deer and bear? I am wondering if they would shoot to the same point of impact and be interchangeable?
I have a Jefferson BM that takes the CZ mags on a .223. I also have a Jefferson hinged floor plate model on my 6mm ARC. Build quality is fantastic on both of them. I personally wouldn't hesitate to buy more. My kids will all be shooting Howa Minis of one variety or another, and I will...
Sorry if I missed it. Did you go with the Hybrid lite contour on this build? I have a Hyperion K and want to make sure there is enough material at the muzzle for it.
I can't remember if I have asked this before or just been thinking about it. For you guys that hunt bears every year, what do you do with the hides? I can get euro-ing multiple skulls, but I have been curious about the hides.
