I have hunted africa with a rifle and it was a great time. Hard to justify the cost of travel and time to travel but I do agree they have plenty of game to get experience chasing. Baboons are top of my list if I ever get to go back
I guess the high volume wording probably wasnt perfect but this is exactly what I mean. I haven’t done antelope yet with a bow and would think it would be perfect to get a ton of experience. I would like practice actually executing a perfect shot on a game animal as well though under pressure...
I am curious for some input for high volume archery hunt options? Outside of hogs, what are the best hunts with higher bag limits to build up archery spot and stalk experience? I guess exotics in texas or africa are a given but not really intriguing or in my budget honestly. Anyone done any big...
Had a spring bear hunt already in may in Idaho this year
Moose in alberta in august
Possible black bear here in michigan. I have 7 pts for one so fingers crossed
Then the usual 4-6 whitetails for the freezer and hunters for the hungry
I am a Michigander and have hunted idaho twice in the last 3 years. I would recommend driving and hiking. Its just so much easier to bring home your trophy/meat, change areas if its a bust and makes for a pretty decent base camp. I have hunted elk and mule deer in 2022 and black bear this past...
I would lean toward the browning personally. Bigger market share and I really think browning has really been making some awesome guns as of late. I think either one in 7prc will shoot lights out. Good luck!
Oldish thread but I have had my nexus for 2 years now on a 300 prc lightweight hunting rifle. Has never lost zero and its been shot all around the country and in South Africa. My only complaint is that the turrets are TOO nice for hunting. They can get spun a few clicks with almost zero effort...
2020 rifle mule deer in montana early november. Wild weather 60 one day -5 the next with 60 mph gusts and 12-16 inches of snow. Thankfully I tagged out on the 60 degree day lol nice 5x5 with patchy velvet. Got me hooked for life.
I had similar issues with a howa 1500 chambered in 6.5 creed. Even put a hogue stock with an aluminum chassis built in. No luck so it lost its place in the safe. All ammo types including handloads, torqued everything, scope checked out, new rings and bases, perfect muzzle crown (unthreaded...
Also interested in this thread. I started with a kuiu lt pro 4000 and 7200. Had it for 3 years but wanted an exo to try out. Got the k3 last year (weeks before they announced the k4) and really dont like it very much. Im 5’7 165 lbs with a 30” waste so small guy club but I would say the kuiu fit...

I have had my element in 300 prc out to 1000 yards on two separate occasions and one time shooting rocks at 1125ish in South Africa. First group was three consecutive rounds in a 9” group with factory hornady ELDM 225s. 2nd time out was more like 14-16” at 1000 yds. Out at 1125 it was minute of...
