I generally think that is true but sometimes it feels like the user, me included, may try to use a specific piece 'out of spec'. I bought an EVO last fall and ended up with a Large Tall because it fit over an Ambient hoodie better than a regular Large, with more under-arm space. I guess in...
They dropped Leo several years ago, maybe 2021? I originally had an account via Leo but had to re-apply directly with Sitka, but it was and has never been a hassle.
I wear the classic Sitka lightweight until it hits the 40s then its heavy merino bottoms. I use the lightweight more for scent control and then comfort being a PA whitetail hunter who's in a ladder stand a couple hundred hours a year. I've come to prefer the layer under my Equinox pants when...
Timberline are better at 50 and below. Order one size up and you can easily layer into the teens. I'm a 34 normally but a 35 gives me room for a heavy merino bottom and the Equinox midi pant if I want. I love them and wear them as often as I can when it finally gets chilly.
Exactly. You pay no fee to Sitka. If you qualify for their program there is no fee. At worst you pay shipping when they run free shipping promos but that's fair enough as you are not paying retail prices. And pieces do sell out. You cannot always get the piece or the size you want if you wait...
Always, if you can. Basic yoga stretches are very effective, especially for range of motion and lower back issues. I should be doing more than I do but when I take the time for 20 minutes of mild, slow and controlled yoga stretch/posing, it helps immensely.
Depending on your age, your needs...
I've had a Garmin Instinct for four years and never an issue. Love it for what it does and I don't really need more since I use about half its capabilities. Holds a charge for two weeks as well after all this time.
YMMV but I bought one several years ago from Lowe's, electric, and it works fine. It can sometimes be stubborn to turn on but if you turn on the water first and let it fill the hose, then hit the trigger, you're good. The wife is a maniac with it, wants to power wash everything and many things...
My dad had an early 1960s Remington 760 carbine in .308 and I still have that rifle and it's as accurate as it ever was. A wonderful and handy rifle. However... when I turned 12 my uncle loaned me his 22-250 for the season and at 13 dad bought me a wood and steel club in .308.
That rifle...
The summer I before I turned six, my dad brought home a Glenfield .22 bolt action. He taught me to shoot sitting on our back step. Soda cans and .22 shorts. That progressed to shooting Starlings out of our pear trees. He took me hunting with him when I was seven and I was only loaded when...
I suppose mentioning that I have numerous instances every year of deer walking up to and smelling my cams and fogging up the lenses all the time would blow up several theories?
It always amuses me to be flipping through pics or videos and one is all white-out/fuzzy and the next one is a bit...
^^^^ the codes are only offered...usually... late fall and late spring and are only viable for a short time frame, like 10 to 14 days or so then they expire. Ebay is still one of the easiest ways to pick up a specific piece at a discount but you have to spend a lot of time watching for the...
We've seen them discontinue a specific item/line in the past and in some cases it comes back. Or should we say that Sitka says it will be discontinued but come out with an updated version the next season. I suppose there is a marketing strategy in there as well.... tell everyone it's going...
If true, it's like I said in another thread, it might be interpersonal conflict and in that case, rather petty. IF true. Either way, that's between Sitka and EO and well within their right to drop any products they choose. No one is owned a reason but it obviously makes for good conversation...
I usually have at least three on me plus the loaded gun. If in-line, the three I carry on the stock in a flex-tube thingy (TC Pro Hunter). If it is flintlock season, I carry five or six and along with enough patches and small bottle of windex for emergency cleaning in addition to the typical...
I can get anything Sitka anytime at 40% off if it's in stock. I buy one or two items a year and many times for the wife, who loves their solids for casual wear. The 30% discounts most vendors run, as noted by several of you, is just not incentive enough for most people because you can almost...
I've bought various items from EO over the years, mostly rifle scopes and never had an issue. Never bought any Sitka stuff because their pricing is usually not the best unless it is the bottom of the barrel on a specific item. Numerous other vendors match or beat their pricing the majority of...
The Stratus bib and the right layers are all you need! If you spend a lot of time in the teens and lower, and sit then yeah, the Fanatic bibs might make sense. Give the Stratus a go for this year and see how versatile they are for you. You can always add Fanatic bibs later and any layers you...
