No trouble at all. Just get in the habit of making sure that the turret is on the zero stop before shooting or dialing. I have 3 of these scopes and they are fantastic.

I have 3 and all of them have had tight elevation caps. I have some soft jaw pliers that’s used. The plastic inserts kept it from marring.

I think it is Ford vs. Chevy. I have a Trijicon with both red and green and find myself always using the red. But, you may like green better. Do you have anywhere locally that you could see both?
Several of our fields are exactly as you describe and I use a Trijicon AccuPoint 3-9x40 with a duplex reticle. I have both Amber and Green and like them both. They hold zero, have good glass and are relatively light weight.
I have the MRAD center dot reticle and found the same as you. Spent a little time at the range focusing the reticle and it is much better. I have to admit that I am not a fan of center dots, would much prefer that same reticle with a crosshair.
I have an NX8 and a few Trijicons. In my opinion, the glass is better on the Trijicons, slightly better contrast which gives better low-light performance.
I have AG Composites, Manners and Mesa Precision. All 3 are great, but to me, the Manners stands above the others. The attention to detail is much better.
