1. I prefer the Trijicon Zero Stop to others.
2. The reticle looks busy, but in practice, I don't find it to be. I shot a whitetail on Saturday without illumination and never thought about the reticle.
I hunt in AL with very similar terrain. I have used everything from cheap binos to Swaro EL’s. To me, with short fields and low-light performance, the Zeiss Conquest 8x42’s are the sweet spot. My son has been using a set for a couple of years now and they are a great pair of binos. I would look...
30 in-lb on the receiver and 35 in-lb on the rings. Have used this on multiple rifles and scopes and never had one come loose.

I have read that the internals are the same, then read that they aren't. Not sure what is true. I do believe that the glass is the same though, as I have both and see no difference.
I would do a pre-order with Airguns of Arizona. They get routine shipments and you should have them in no time. If you need something right now, they have the HT073's in stock.
The advice for shooting off a bipod is solid. My son has a Mauser M18 (almost the same rifle as yours). Shooting off bags, it is routinely <0.5MOA rifle. When we shot it off a bipod, it was easily a 3MOA rifle and was very erratic with shots all over the place. Come to find out, the stock...
I don't hear sensitive people. I hear people offering advice that YOU came here seeking. Whatever you choose, no skin off my back.
Also, I may have missed it, but I didn't see anyone recommending a Chinese-made scope. The SWFA, Trijicon and Nightforce recommendations are Japanese scopes.
After reading this whole thread, I'll offer my opinion. For many years, I assumed that all scopes held zero and tracked reliably. I mean, why wouldn't they? So, I shopped based on glass quality. At one point, I had a ton of Leupolds, Swaros and Vortex Razors. Problem is, they wouldn't hold...
As Researchinstuff said above, there is a big difference in the definition of scope reliability from one shooter to the next. I shoot a lot, year-round, and have had bad experiences with a good bit of what you list here. I have no doubt that you would prefer those on your list over SWFA, and...
I have several SWFA scopes, including the 12x. While I don't think the glass is stellar on the 12x, is it certainly usable. I think you have an issue with the one you have and would recommend returning. I also have SWFA HD's, Trijicons and a Nightforce NX8. My opinion is that the Trijicons...
I have a Trijicon Tenmile mounted in Hawkins Ultralight rings. I couldn't remember if I applied blue loctite when I assembled it last year, so I took one of the ring caps off to check. Sure enough, I had used loctite. I cleaned those screws up, applied loctite and torqued to spec. I never...
