That's all fair. I wouldn't disagree with you. I didn't think that this conversation was about any of that. Only mechanical/theoretical dispersion as related in this context to group size.
And for context, I've been a shooter and reloader for a long time. Probably not as long as some...
Well you were replying to me, so I figured it was a direct reply to me.
The only thing I was asking was people's opinion on those things factoring into larger shot strings and their contribution to increased group size over more shots fired.
I thought there was a post that if x amount of...
Saying I'm not thinking critically, and that I don't even have a basic understanding aren't underhanded digs?
Just listened to the podcast he linked above. Hornady #57. 2 guys talking about science, not "magic", that affect dispersion.
Center of Gravity offset and the things that can enhance...
No, he didn't. Just reread the posts.
All that's been discussed is what is. Never why is.
I really don't understand why the question of why, and what scientific and/or contollable/uncontrollable factors play into overall dispersion offend either of you.
But the whole point of this convo is that you can only zero your optic to within an inch and a half or whatever arbitrary number.
What is the cause of said dispersion?
What argument?
I never said anything about not being able to shoot.....
All I was talking about is why you get a greater dispersion over a greater amount of rounds.
Form,
Ok, well that was a lot of words just to throw out a couple insults.
So 100fps ES doesn't increase dispersion? I'm guessing dispersion is caused by magic?
Right on. Got it.
This horse has been beaten to death, obviously.
I think more manufacturers have latched onto the "sub moa for a 3 shot group" disclaimer for this very reason.
Let's dive a little deeper though. Some things that cross my mind when it comes to larger shot groups, let's just use 30, is the...
It's gonna be very personal. If right handed, press on far right.
I like to use nut-serts in a wood bench so I can remove stuff if I don't use it often. Stuff like swager, powder drop. T-track would also work.
They are decent for the money as long as you get a QC one.
But, take reviews with a grain of salt. They have (and the people that review them) been slammed for sending out tons of free stuff and even paying cash for good reviews. I know that goes for a lot of companies, but not to the same...
Is yours accurate? Mine is not. I don't put too much faith into a 2" level and it's decent enough. But it is not perfect on the flip test on the machined surface of another accurate level. Didn't realize until I checked it because I wanted to use it for scope mounting.
I don't know if I...
Those two videos are apples and oranges. The guide has no pressure, a shooting mat, and that front bag is a bit much. He shot all from a single position, shot them I think all in order from closest to furthest (or pretty close) instead of random. Pretty open range with no obstructions.
I...
🤣
Some women prefer AKs
But, seriously. That would make sense if this was the Ruger Ranch or Henry Homesteader. But this thing is more Tacti(not)cool than any AR.
In fact any "they/them" that's turned off by an AR would certainly call and think this IS an AR.
