Thank you for following up on this, I appreciate it. I was hoping it was a medium, I like the size and fit of that one. I will come up with a tether if they do not have an appropriate US made option when they ship. I have signed up to get a notification when mediums become available for...
I checked out the bino harness at the Vermont TAC and really liked the pocket and lid layout/function and will probably preorder. They did not have the deluxe version there which is no big deal for me as I keep my range finder on a paracord/keyring over one should and under the other for quick...
The Orion is $60 more than the Phantom however worth it for the comfort. People like the Cruzer XC as well which is $30 more than the Phantom. The best thing would be to try some out. There are Saddle meet ups where people will bring different saddles for people to try and depending where you...
I hunted out of a Tethered Phantom for 2 seasons and really liked it however I would get hip pinch after long sits. Last season I switched to an Overwatch Outdoors Orion and could not be happier. I was used to having sore spots after the first couple sits of the season before I was in saddle...
I was in a similar situation and I would definitely go for the Axis. They are excellent eating and a cool mount as well. I would not bother with the blackbuck if it is a one or the other situation unless you do not like venison and prefer the mount of the blackbuck. The blackbucks are tiny...
Not to vear too off topic however when my kids were getting there start with shotguns I found the escort semi autos were the best for reduced recoil, adjustable length of pull and barrel length. We also had a mossberg bantam 410 pump but sold it because it had more recoil than the gas operated...
If you can swing it, get a cricket until he grows into the 10/22. My kids shot the cricket squirrel hunting from 6 until around 10 when they could handle the 10/22 easily. You will not have a problem selling the cricket when you are done. We also bought the mount and scope for the cricket.
The biggest thing is a gun that fits. If the stock is too long or the gun too heavy they will have to overcome all of that before they can concentrate on sight picture and squeezing the trigger.
I started my son and daughter on a cricket with open sights around 6 and once they got comfortable with the open sights I put the cricket scope on it. What I liked about it is the light weight and small size that lets them fell comfortable holding it.
I have been carrying a Ken Onion serrated Leek for about 8 months and love it. The blade material is 14C28N. I touch the blade up with a couple strokes on a oval diamond steel a couple times a week and it cuts paper better than scissors. Is it shaving sharp, no however it does not need to be...
I have been using an ALPS Impact for the last 2 seasons and I am very happy with it. It has just the right amount of pockets, the cushion is a stadium chair so you do not need a tree that folds in and out with out having to take it off or unsnap/snap it. The front right pockets detach from...
I have both Cutthroat 200 gn single bevels and Iron Will 200 gn single bevels with bleeders. I killed deer with each last year, both were plan b shots with 600 gn arrows. I had a 3rd plan b shot where I hit the shoulder with a trypan on a 400+ gn arrow and only got 1 lung and did not recover...
I used 4 of them last year and there is no question you get a new advantage in that you do not have to pull cards and disturb the area and you know if they are active in the area. They are legal in New Hampshire however you cannot use them the same calendar day. I am not sure how they would...
The ideal situation would be to get you and her with a trainer who is familiar with the breed. The lesser alternative is for you to slowly acclimate her to far off loud noises while she is busy doing something she loves doing and SLOWLY bringing the noise closer.
