Thought I would update for anyone who may have had a similar question to mine. I went with the stratus bibs and equinox midi pants. They have been absolutely phenomenal, granted it hasn’t gotten below 40 yet. Base layer + midi pants + stratus bibs in the 40s literally feels like I’m wrapped up...
It appears that Lacrosse is discontinuing the optifade elevated II pattern on their boots. Here is a response they gave to someone on FB who was asking about when they would restock elevated II:
“Thanks! Unfortunately Elevated II is getting discontinued and won't be restocked. Sorry we don't...
I know this isn’t one of the “main” bow companies but I started with a Winchester youth bow when I was 12. I killed many deer with that thing at a fairly low poundage until I eventually upgraded to my PSE. Not necessarily a “women’s” bow but I figured it may still work well since it’s a youth...
Another vote for TideWe. I’ve been using mine for several weeks now, it’s basic but works great for shooting distance to block target and from the stand.
That's really helpful. I was hoping to save some $ and have a single bib work for different types of hunting, but it makes sense that it wouldn't be the case. I didn't realize how fuzzy each the stratus and fanatic were and that they wouldn't work well for the duck blind. Thanks for the advice!
Yeah that’s looking like the way to go. I really appreciate the advice. I’m seeing everyone really recommending the fanatic jacket to pair with stratus bibs though, is the stratus jacket not worth it?
That makes so much sense. Thank you so much for writing all that out. I’ll definitely check out the midi pants and probably go with stratus. Thank again!
I think it makes the most sense to wash all the human/store scent off before first use. That being said, I’ve had deer come within 10 yards of my stand after having just ripped the tags off some camo the same morning lol. I say wash if you can, because it’s better to waste a little time and...
Darn Tough socks are super comfy. I’ve worn them for years for both hiking and hunting. Not sure what specific style, I have a pair that are a little thicker I wear in colder weather but all my pairs are boot socks. Love the brand, I don’t regret ever buying their socks. Haven’t tried the other...
I live in Middle TN where morning temps usually get to low 20s at the lowest through deer season. I’m looking at getting some Sitka bibs (fanatic vs. stratus). I have a pair of browning pants and a base layer that can get me through most of early and mid-season, but am wanting one of these bibs...
