Ok there’s no way to really tell how tight they’ll be with the 50mm lens's, but I how I run them they are at 5” across on the lens. If it sounds like they should fit I’ll take it.
Decided to rattle can the factory tikka stock. Pretty simple, I like how it turned out. followed some older threads on here.
1. scuffed up stock with 120 grit
2. cleaned with denatured alcohol
3. self etching primer in an olive green color
4. coated it with krylon Camo olive green
5. dipped...
It came out with needle nose vise grips after a few tries and busting up most of what was left of the threads. Thanks for the advice without the underlying bs messages
You’re going to have to come over and show me! I understand how basic screws work was just posting this up to see if anyone else has head a head pop off like this. Thanks for the feedback though.
No I haven't taken anything apart. when the screw head is seated in the base it is flush, so the head is now broken off there is nothing I see that can be grabbed with pliers it is well under flush
Just got this thing back from the gunsmith they swapped the barrel I wonder if when they put the vise on and torqued that barrel off that’s what popped they head off? It’s definitely not loose I’m tempted to leave it be for awhile.
Just tipped my rifle upside down cleaning it after shooting and out falls a tiny head off of the Talley base Fml! What should I do? Leave it be? It’s just the tip lol
