Another option I am thinking of is the CVA Optima V2 LR thumbhole .50 Cal Nitride/Cerakote. I would have to add a front sight to this and replace the scope mount with a peep sight. Maybe the ace in the hole scope mount peep sight combo. It would be more work, but would it be better product?
I decided to try the better draw odds of muzzle loader and put a few muzzy choices on my application. I was either going to get a new 7mm PRC elk rifle or a muzzleloader. Well I drew a really great muzzy elk tag in 104, 108, 121 north of Ely, NV and now I need a muzzleloader to get the job...
My wife and I both drew antelope 067-068 and 043-046, my daughter drew Junior mule deer 043-046, I drew muzzleloader bull elk 104, 108, 121, and also late 203 archery mule deer.
Just getting back into archery after a few years off. Excited to put in for archery in the Nevada draw this year. I’m still shooting my beginner bow, a Diamond Infinite Edge at about 60 lbs and 27” draw length. I only had a 3 pin sight and ever shot at 20, 30, 40 before. I just installed a 5 pin...
I only found Rokslide a while back and love the forums and the podcast. Can I still participate being a FNG? I saw talks about a cutoff, then in the rules I see bonus points for long term members, but no minimum post count needed.
Ruby’s are good, but you have to get way back in there and up to 9-10k elevation. I’ve never looked at non resident draw odds, so I really don’t know what other areas would be good for you to put in for.
We got my daughter a Savage Axis youth in 7mm-08 and I am looking at the Mossberg Patriot in 7mm-08 for my sons first rifle this year. Hornady makes a reduced recoil load that has worked well for getting them used to shooting a hunting rifle.
