Once I had an bull elk at that distance I felt fairly confident that I could put the sight right where I wanted to hit. Hamskea Rest
Once you have the knock issue figured out, can you add a rest on the shelf to help the arrow start centered? Mine has one on the rest and one on the shelf. -

Zero Range
I zeroed at 150 yards last year with open sights for my NV elk hunt. I figured it would be a dead hold from 1-200. I shot my bull at 190 yards and put in a second one in him at 230 yards. It worked out well.- MarkOrtiz

Anyone shot/owned CVA Cascade?

If you never shot over 600 yards?
Love the 25-06 and 270 for speed. The only downfall I have seen with the 25-06 was in a shooting competition my friend was having a hard time with 15-20 mph winds. The light bullets just wanted to move around more than a heavier 7mm.- MarkOrtiz

Affordable rangefinders that work out to 1000 yards
My older Nikon is only good to 550 yards, but works good. I will probably just keep it for archery and I am looking at the new Leupold RX-1400I TBR/W GEN 2 to replace it. It is very reasonably priced and seems to have good reviews. -

We got our Nevada pronghorn back from our friend that is a retired taxidermist today. My wife’s on the left and mine on the right. This was both of our first antelope hunts. What a fun hunt and it’s great to preserve the memories with this on the wall. Can’t wait to hunt them again.
