I just ordered and installed this rear peep on a 1958 Marlin 336 in 30-30. I have not found time to get to the range but this sight seems very well machined and is supposed to work with stock front bead sights...
I have one of these..... http://www.hoskingholsters.com/
I wear an XDM 10mm under my FHF bino pack and hardly know it's there. Compare price and return policy and I believe you may find this one worth a try...

Does anyone have experience with these? I am considering them for a fourth season (CO) hunt....
Yes sir...
And "most" people, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be to acknowledge, will recognize these actions to be SUICIDAL.
However poorly written, the "jist" of the article is unmistakable.....
That's a great question....
I always wondered how one would check the wind 600, 700, 800 yards (or more) away or do you simply assume the wind is "constant" in speed and direction from point of shot to that rib cage?
Until I can get a firm answer I guess I will just get closer...
Big Tikka fan since '05.
I suggest looking at the price of factory ammo as a consideration, if you don't plan on getting into the reloading rabbit hole. I have a 300 WSM and wish I had gone with a 30-06 as the ammo is often half the cost and the advantage the WSM brings is not really "all that"...
I am helping a buddy put together his first big game rifle. I am a Tikka fan and pointed him in that direction. T3x in 30-06.
He put a Leupold VX3i 4-14 on it with Talley rings. I suggested Federal blue box for the first few boxes in both 150 and 180 grain.
The 150's are doing 3/4 inch with...
I just returned from a muzzy deer hunt in north central Colorado. I only had the weekend to hunt (no shots at deer) and with about 2 miles between myself and the nearest road we had three different bulls sounding off. Never got closer than 200-300 yards but am 99% sure it wasn’t other hunters...
The biggest bull I ever tagged yielded just over 250 pounds of boned-out and pretty well trimmed meat. I spent 5 hours processing him on a large piece of Tyvek and kept the meat clean. I had no choice but to drop the meat at a processor; I was obligated to hunt with my buddy for the remaining 6...
I found what I consider to be a pretty good deal on this ammo and would like to hear what kind of accuracy T3 shooters are seeing in their 300 WSM's.
My rifle likes every 180 grain bullet I have fed it, thus far. AB's, Berger Hybrid Hunters (Federal factory) will go under an inch if I skip my...
I contacted Kuiu CS for a buckle on a pair of gaiters that I broke due to carelessness on my part. I offered to pay for said buckle but they declined my offer and I had a replacement in a few days.
Best of luck resolving your issue and welcome to RS.
Not in my experience.
I am not a member and shot there last fall; I guess they could have changed their policy.
I paid $20 and that allowed me access to everything that didn't include busting clays.....
One of the most pleasant and engaging conversations I ever had in a SWA parking lot was with a fellow from Laos. He was just a plain old nice guy to talk with. I shared some elk jerkey with him and his father (whom I don't think spoke a word of english) but the common thread of a love of the...
