Bear is the most versatile meat IMO. I usually take one in spring and one in fall for more fat. It takes seasoning very well, makes great sausage and braises great. A few of my favorites are rouladen and shepherd’s pie. Most lamb recipes can also be used, as can Middle Eastern/Lebanese dishes. I...
T3 factory comes in about 6.5 lbs. The factory stock is about 30 ounces. There’s a thread on here about stock weight. I’m not sure about t3x but it’s got to be pretty close.
Try a limbsaver on your Tikka. The stocks leave a lot to be desired, but after I put a recoil pad on mine

Try Nechako Outdoors. I know they have 180 gr. I usually call Reliable Gun in Van who are great to deal with. It’s crazy how limited our selection us up here. I have a 375 Ruger and ended buying all the factory ammo I could find just to get access to brass.
Any thoughts on why there’s so many Kowas for sale on here, especially if theyre so good? There doesn’t seem to be as many SLCs for sale. Is it a weight issue?
Where are you in Canada? You can find 180 gr AB in BC. I shoot 300 wsm and stick with AB. ELDx just don’t work for me. I’ve never had a problem shooting out to 500 with either 180 or 200 ABs in hunting scenarios.
I agree with double lung shots. They simply can’t go far with blown lungs. In coastal BC, I’ve seen too many shoulder shot bears lost in thick rain forest timber. They can go far with broken scapulas and the shoulder joint is a small target.
