You will need to mount a scope lower over the bore. Scopes with smaller objective Lenses. Im thinking of having my Weatherby monte carlo stock (HUMP) taken down to reduce cheek slap. The best solution is MAG-NA-PORT the barrel.

They installed a proper weight barrel for the 300 Weatherby cartridge. Make sure the original German trigger is not fractured. A Weatherby collector for forty years i've seen four fractured triggers. Replace with timney.
Serial No indicates action built in 1961. Safety is on the receiver. Triggers were made of an zinc alloy and had a tendency to fracture. Gunsmiths replaced them with Timneys. That is an original FOAM FILLED Bell and Carlson stock.
