When I'm backpacking, I bring backups of everything I can in the truck.
In the field, I bring an extra release, batteries, headlamp, water filtration (usually aqua tabs), nocks (this is big - I've fallen and broken all my nocks, if I didn't have extras I would have needed to pack out)
I carry my G20 when hunting solo, mostly for peace of mind. I always carry bear spray, solo or hunting in a group. Don't have to be very accurate with bear spray in the heat of the moment!
back at home I'd recommend the Victornox semi-stiff boning knife
This year, in the field, I tried the Gerber Randy Newberg EBS and it was awesome - wait for a sale on this though, I think I got mine for ~$40
Yet another data point - my first season with the Briksdal Pro (200g insulation). Hunted a total of 12 days after breaking in, and the rand is starting to separate from the leather where the boot flexes. Likely going the warranty route with Crispi now that the season is over.
I have the SG Sky Archer 6400 with the Xcurve frame. Used for 3 seasons so far and it's help up really well. Packed 2 elk out this year and it handled the weight very well.
Other brands like Kifaru seem to have bulkier hip straps, which I find myself wishing for on longer days during archery...
