I think it’d help to buy your EU size as opposed to your US size. Brands convert differently. I have US13 Hanwags that would be ridiculously huge in Zamberlan US13 - Zamberlan EU47 is their US12. Hanwag is EU47 to US13, like Lowa and others.
Top notch quality boot sizing aside!
As noted, waterproofing is a temporary condition. My Tibets leaked at the flex point over the flex point over my big toe.
I think thick leather will do something to help preserve the sock. The Tibets didn’t have particularly thick leather, as I recall, so they flexed more easily. My Hanwag...
Steepandcheap.com and mountainsteals.com regularly have excellent quality stuff for half off. I’d go that route over getting a $200 MSRP boot.
I think what you’re looking at is inflation. The $200 boots of a few years ago are no longer $200 boots.
Every source also says that masks slow the spread and it’s only for 10 days. 😂
And heart attacks are normal for kids and the shots are 100% effective at providing immunity from lawsuits for the manufacturer. 😂
Thank god for the news. Never would know who to trust without them.
The guy telling you beware the government is the dangerous one?
Who’s being influenced again?
To quote the countless, “conservatives are the liberals of 10 years ago”.
This forum is my only social media outside my email. Thanks, try again.
As mentioned, it isn’t a Lowa material failure. Gore manufactures the PTFE membrane and liner. I had some Tibets leak around the ball of my foot, and I’ve had other brands leak, too. Goretex isn’t perfect.
If you have your receipt, Gore will actually refund you for the cost of the boots...
Second the Omnilite Ti with Silencer and the obscenely expensive Stove Paw. Very quiet, great simmer control and packs down small.
I’ve also used an MSR XGK EX and Optimus Polaris.
The Omnilite is in all ways better than both other than stability without the paw. Nicest pump by far. The MSR...
For fun compared Kelty Cosmic 20 to Nemo Riff 15. Pretty crazy how you get 20oz of 800FP vs 19oz of 550FP for very similar ratings on the tall bags. Makes you wonder about ratings.
Never knew 550 FP was even a thing. Must be chicken feathers. I know a guy who used to work at a poultry...
What a safer place this country must have been when those defending their families and neighbors didn’t fear the law as much as those coming to attack them. What changed
My brother is a ford tech at a fleet yard. They never, ever, have 2.7s in. My ‘19 was 105k miles of zero issues. Our fleet has a couple million miles on the 2.7s and they have been bombproof. My ‘23 has a problem headunit but that’s not powertrain. 7500 miles and it feels like it’ll be rock...
