Best bang for your buck hunts at every budget?

Inspired by the post "What's the most fun a guy can have with $20,000?" which got me thinking what the highest value "bang for your buck" hunts would be for every reasonable price point. These can be domestic or international, DIY or Guided etc. Curious to hear some ideas for what you guys...

Aside from Spain, where are the rest of the European Ibex located? There's the Alpine but with Switzerland closing it's doors that leaves what, Slovenia? Austria? I'd like to add Chamois and Mouflon to Ibex hunts where possible.

Putting together my first long range hunting rig, A Model 70 in 6.8 Western.

Did you go with a Browning or Winchester rifle? I see the Browning's went with the 1:7.5 twist and Winchester did the 1:8.

Putting together my first long range hunting rig, A Model 70 in 6.8 Western.

I've compared the ballistics of all 8 factory ammo offerings from Browning and Winchester and it looks like Winchester's 165 grain Expedition Big Game is the best long range option.

I'm new to the whole long range and mountain hunting world and have decided on a Model 70 Extreme Weather in 6.8 Western as my rifle of choice. Curious if any others here own the same rifle or cartridge for this purpose? I'm really intrigued by this new chambering. The 165gr Winchester load...

Why is the Canadian model far less friendly to Non-Resident hunters compared to the US?

Thanks for your explanation, I can understand your perspective. I had no idea that game in many areas throughout BC was on the decline and that it's undergoing such political attacks. BC and the Territories are all viewed as the lands of plenty to us living in the east.

What caliber would you start a hunter with?

6.8 Western. It's got the reach of the 6.5's and the power of the 30cals.

Why is the Canadian model far less friendly to Non-Resident hunters compared to the US?
