the marring to brass really only happens when there is rounds in the magazine. More rounds more force to close the bolt more marring. There is a pretty regular vertical scratch(lengthwise along the case) that starts at the shoulder and goes down the body about 1/8" to 3/16 on the affected... -

Its all factory rounds, but it is all one brand. Only had to try out 140 and 147 hornady eldm to find something that shoots ~.5moa. The spring sound is on all shots no difference between 1st rounds or 10th. Its not really the sound of the shot or muzzle blast. Its from like inside the gun... -

Rowing Machine Recommendations
Waterrower for me, the sound, smoothness, and look hands down. If you want games, training etc ergatta uses waterrowers as part of their system you can buy all together or add it to a water rower you already have- fnf01

Sitka Fanatic alternative
Has the fanatic ever been sold in solid colors? I'm sure some will crucify me at even asking but I'm just not much into camo. Even the cabelas wooltimate stuff is camo only. Trying to find something in this warmth range but solids doesn't seem possible -

Kimber Open Country
Anyone with any more experience with these? Especially the carbon barrel model? Wish it would have a shorter 18" carbon barrel option and it'd be almost exactly like the fieldcraft. Doing a barrel swap could save almost a pound but at over $3k for the gun alone your looking at a $4k "semi"... -

Do the kimber still have a non 5/8x24 threaded barrel? I know its very slim so getting a suppressor on it last time I was looking seemed tricky or needing an adaptor. Same with the weatherby, pencil thin barrel needing an adaptor seems savage seems most cost effective right now, but heaviest... -

Arca Swiss, BOG, and Sirui

Thanks Zap that video Akto problems is exactly what I'm getting, Just back home from first rifle in CO, luckily temps went up after I posted and with overnight temps over 30 the akto does ok, but anything under 30 I wake up in a rain forest, even taking the advice above (haven't tried a candle...- fnf01
