I organize all my stuff by use for example:
kill kit, possibles pouch, all my clothing, etc..
I make my own pull outs identical to kifaru, I seam seal it all and use a ykk waterproof zipper, it’s highly highly water resistant

I am going to making my own lid for my reckoning. And was hoping I could get measurements from someone that owns a kifaru guide lid.
just needing the measurements of what the total width is of the main pocket material and also the measurements of the actual lid flap.
Thanks
I agree with using a heavier fabric like 1.7 would be great to start with. I started with the 1.1 oz silnylon and there was a lot of frustration when I started due to the fabric being extremely hard to work with.
yeah man, I’m excited to get my material in. I ordered khaki 1.1 oz silnylon to make my mega tarp copy with. Would eventually like to make a pyramid tipi too
I used 1.1oz silnylon and1.1 oz silpoly. I used a ykk waterproof zipper and seam sealed all of it. If it was submerged under water it would prolly leak, but for taking a rain or shower it will stay dry inside.
I started on ripstop by the roll diy zpp dynema kit. I have now made roll top dry bags and zippered dry bag like the kifaru ultra lite pull outs. Also made a Nalgene bottle holder and pocket both identical to Kifaru’s. Currently going to make a mega tarp
I run a Soto Amicus stove, Soto aluminum pot. I use a gsi ultra lite java drip and gsi backpackers coffee cup. All still comes in lighter than a traditional msr/ jet boil.
that is one that I made, that fit all my clothes for backpack elk in sept. I used Mara 70 thread and got all the stuff off ripstop by the roll. And they have a YouTubevideo on how to make “zpp bag”. Super simple, I can whip one up in under 10 minutes from start to finish now. The one I made...
I have used 1.1 silnylon and 1.1 silpoly and another silpoly pu3000. I have made pack covers, and dry proof bags and then I made a food bag that held 7 days of food and hung from a tree the whole time in Idaho last sept and worked flawless. Anything they selll seems to be good for me to use...
I have made my own roll top dry bags and zip up dry bags, and have wondered if anyone has made game bags before? They would be extremely easy to make, but curious if the silnylon or silpoly would be good material for game bags?
Silnylon or silpoly from ripstop by the roll. I have made my own roll top dry bags and waterproof zip bags like the kifaru pull outs and they are simple. Going to try and make a tarp like the kifaru supertarp
