    Not everyone is going to perform better weighing 10-12lbs less... if someone is over weight than yea that will help but for people who are already at a healthy weight losing weight will usually include losing strength as well.

    Help me pick a new elk rifle caliber.

    Kimber mountain ascent in 300 wsm. It’s lightweight, still get magnum performance but in a short action comes with a muzzle break to tame the recoil a bit. Checks your boxes in my opinion I may be a little biased tho as that’s what I chose haha

    That is true would be a lot worse if they shortened at the end. Might bring the pressure down on D5 and D6 for opening weekend since youll Have to choose which one to hunt the opener.
