Aaoptics carries refurbished items from vortex at a steep discount. It's almost impossible to tell them apart from new stock. The UHD were new, the Dbacks were refurbished. Here is a link...

So, I just received a NEW set of UHD 8x from AAoptics, was super excited about seeing at the molecular level, for hunting in the upper midwest, and general purpose and birdwatching. I took them out on the back deck today and was comparing them to all the other binos in my stable, and at the end...
OP, if you had asked what we thought was the "best" deer round, I would be in agreement with the above poster. I think the 7mm-08 is the absolute best all around whitetail cartridge. Good power, good speed, good trajectory, reasonable recoil. Compare it to the ol ought six and its pretty close...
I thought I read someplace that a ball head was not good for a spotter. I'd like to keep my budget around or less than $150 or so. The spotter is only 27oz, but the sturdier the better.
Hey folks, so I'm new to the spotting scope thing. There is a Cronus 12-36X50 in the mail from a member here. I have a low budget tripod that came in a package deal that I infrequently use with my dslr. I'm looking for advice for a sturdy tripod for the little spotter, something that won't...
Similar as far as warmth and fit, but the kutana has a bit more room in the torso. Kutana is supposedly a little tougher as it's made with nylon vs the polyester of the guide. I currently own both jackets and prefer the kutana. I was pushing through a lot of old logging clear-cuts last year and...

Selling my Kenai ultra in vias, large. I only wore it out of the house once, and that was to test the warmth by standing in the yard last winter. It's pretty warm. Since then it's been in a Tupperware bin. Non smoker. In other words, it's pretty much new except for the tags...
This is my absolute favorite of the softshells. I wish they still had it in production. If I didn't already have this exact jacket i would scoop it up. I'm 510 180 and it fits me about perfect in the sleeve, and a little extra in the torso for layers.
Thanks for the advice on the panels, folks. I'll likely have to go that route. I will maintain hope that one of these oft mentioned manufacturers will decide to fill an obvious hole in the market.
Why is it impossible to find a blaze orange, or blaze camo pack? Just looking for a quality daypack for the rifle woods. I emailed AGC and asked (begged) them to make their scout pack in orange. Are there any alternatives? Thanks folks.
I've been taking my daughter (15) and nephew (13) out deer hunting with me for the past few years. There are things/techniques that us folks that grew up in the woods just take for granted. I remind them to "walk soft, know what you're stepping on without watching your feet." Other nuggets of...
