You are certainly welcome to hunt how you choose, and what you decide to shoot, or not shoot. Everyone hunts different places with varying deer populations and it certainly is not a one size fits all. Let me ask you this.... If we were Michigan hunters and she had shot a fawn as her first would...

I was a freshman in highschool, and our algebra teacher was fresh out of college and a horrible teacher. Over half the class was failing.... Anyhow, we had an exam coming up and dad was taking me out...
Good luck! Good food is a must on an intense hunt! I always look at it like there aren't many comforts on a tough hunt, but good food and good sleep are super important to keep going hard every day.
Took my 13 year old out for her first sit of the year this past Sunday. She is a stone cold kller with a gun, but had yet to connect with her bow. She made a good shot and had officially joined the ranks! Lots of fun and good memories made!
