Hard to go 60mph in a 70 series?
Which engine, mate? 1HZ?
I get mine to 110kph regularly and it has more power to burn. Not bad for a 4.2L turbo diesel that's 20 years old with 455k on the clock.
I've never driven one of the American utes/trucks so I'm sure they've got more power too, but you...
Superb vehicle, mate!
Did it come like that from the factory or was it a troopy that got chopped? We've only had the dual cab landcruisers available here in Australia since about 2013 or so.
I might need to get a dual cab ute in the next couple of years and my current landcruiser is worth much...
I was very fortunate to attend a two day clinic with Tom down here in Australia recently. The online course is fantastic and meeting him in person to get advice was even better. He had very nice things to say about many of us Aussies who had used his course and no other formal coaching, which...
Get both if you can, I reckon.
I used to run an Exo 5500 for years here in Aus and I used it for literally everything. A few backpack hunting trips, Kokoda track, and lots of day hunting where I was hauling out meat. I didn't find the fact it was a large bag to be a problem for the day hunts...
Shot it at a clinic with Tom Clum over the weekend and here are some pictures at my house yesterday with the Marksman quiver on it. Such a sweet shooting bow.
With my friend Ben and one of his (many) ASL's.
Rokslide may not be accurately representative of the entire hunting market.
There is some interesting justification in here about MC and how it works the best and camo should be for hunting packs, etc, but if that were felt by the customers, they would be buying MC in much larger quantities...
I believe so. You may have been living under a rock, mate. They had a huge sale on Coyote Brown and Multicam packs last year to clear out a bunch of inventory before they moved to their new facility.
Yeh, Colin has his high-speed Emu model and I'm going to make one with him. It'll have wood either from my home property or one I spend a lot of time hunting at and it'll be good for target stuff and hunting stuff.
Yeh, this bow breaks a lot of ASL rules but I'm not that fussed. It's going to be a great hunting tool. I'm going to make myself another lighter ASL with a friend of mine for target work and maybe a few hunts as well, likely in the 45# @ 27in range.
I have another ASL here built in Australia that has a locator grip and I shoot it very easily, however, it's a lot of poundage and I can't handle it as well as I used to.
Eric just posted pics of my new bow before he posts it to Australia.
I'm excited about the idea of the takedown for sure, but I'm more excited about the weight of G10 and it being cut to centre. I had an issue with my compound recently and it may take a couple of weeks to get sorted. If that's the case, it's back to my Widow for the rut, and then maybe to this...
Have had the quivalizer on my bow since I got it a few months ago and have only just put the Shrewd rear bar on it. It behaves a little better now. I had the bar for my recurve already so all I needed was the bracket. Group is 50m.
I'm the same height ad draw about the same with trad bows. I dunno if my wife would want to sit in a blind all day as she hunts with a rifle a lot and is quite happy walking around. We both get restless when sitting for too long. I'll have to stick to my guns in this blind and remind myself it's...
I know it's a compound rather than a trad bow, but here is my hopeless excuse for a 'ground blind' I made a few weeks back. It's 25m from a spot that's been used as a fallow buck scrape the last couple of years. hoping I can sit still long enough to kill one in April - with either my compound or...
It is, but hunting anything 'feral' is a big deal. Hunting cats is very opportunistic and it wouldn't be the sort of thing someone could necessarily plan for when coming overseas. It'd probably be a case of being out hunting other game such as goats/pigs/deer and then seeing a cat and trying to...
