    Mt antelope drawing results 2023

Same here but I was going for a unit that was going to be in conjunction with my deer b tag. Oh well. I better draw one next year.

    Pants advice -Sitka/SG

Let me add that I just saw the Sitka Intercept pants and am kind of intrigued by those too. I’ve been wearing the same pair of First Lite Corrugate Guide Pants for the last 6 or 7 years and their DWR is completely gone and they don’t seem to want to take anymore either. I can usually get through...

    Pants advice -Sitka/SG

Their other stuff has fit me well. I could always go and try them on too. I think Scheels in Missoula has both there, or I just take a trip to Bozeman one of these days.

    Pants advice -Sitka/SG

I'm needing some new pants to hunt this year's archery and rifle season since my First Lite pants are falling apart. I've been looking hard at the Stone Glacier 206 and the De Havilland Lite. At the same time I've been considering the Sitka Mountain and Traverse pants. I'd like to hear from some...

    Montana Archery Elk Draw Question

Did you end up drawing the tag?

    Friction and Hot spots

While I agree that leukotape isn't a solution it's helped me. I seem to have shallow heels or skinny heels or something. I can't seem to find a boot that won't slip. If I tie my boots too tight they hurt the tops of my feet and that's almost just as annoying as heel blisters. I've left leukotape...

    Livingston Montana Emergency

Most of that sounds like a Tuesday in Montana.

Montana HD-315 West slope Crazy Mountains

Did you ever get into any elk last year? I see there are some surplus for the unit this year and was thinking about getting one. I know the crazies can be pretty rough, so I'm taking that into consideration. I was thinking of going over for archery to try and get a bull out of there too.

    Need advice

Do you happen to have cattle that pasture there too? I know in MT dogs can be shot if they’re harassing cattle on someone else’s pasture.

    Who hunts alone?

I usually hunt “risky”. I don’t carry much for first aid, just some Tylenol and Benadryl. The only thing I carry is an inReach and a pistol, but I find myself in grizzly country at least 80% of the time, so I don’t want to mess around being completely out of touch because they can seemingly...

How many non residents have drawn bighorn tag in Arizona without max points?

When you/if you understand the AZ draw system you’ll know that it’s very likely. Max points can get all the tags if there’s only one or two. Bonus pass goes, and then only 20% to non residents means the chances of getting a non-res tag go way down. Your chances are pretty slim to none, that...

    Who hunts alone?

I almost only hunt alone. It’s a specialty treat when I get to hunt with someone else. I also feel like I get discouraged less when I have someone else who is relying on me to go over than next hill or glass for 20 more minutes.

    7mm wsm

I know this is a little old but rolled across it as I was googling for brass. I’ve had an A-Bolt for about 13 years now. Love the gun. Haven’t had much luck getting it to shoot though. Finally I think I found something for it. I think the WSM suffered more than the SAUM because of the shorter...

    28 Nosler powder and loads

Yeah I got lucky a couple of years ago. There was 10lbs sitting at a local store, when it first stopped showing up. I should’ve bought all of it, I only bought 4. Now I’m kicking myself. There’s a pretty long thread in longrangehuting about LRT and some guys have reports with it in some 28...

    28 Nosler powder and loads

Here’s that page from the Hornady book. I’m a little longer than that with the Berger 195s. Chrono wasn’t reading so I don’t have those numbers. I found pressure with virgin Nosler brass at 80.5gr of Retumbo at almost 3.600” COAL and that was just a slight ejector mark. I couldn’t went a few mor...
