I’m reading it could be a urethane material as well. Not sure, there’s too many questions especially the longevity of the material overtime. I know Mathews has a lifetime warranty but I highly doubt they will want to adopt a Vortex model where they’re constantly replacing limbs. I really hope...
“Not sure how you can make something more dead than this. This thing is really, really, really dead in the hand”.
$1000 dollar bow review from 2 years ago.
Make it make sense.
Matt McPherson has stated he has technology he’s holding onto for this reason precisely. He already manufactures Carbon Fiber guitars. I’m 99% sure he’s already developed a carbon bow and multiple new adjustable cam systems. He knows the year Mathews releases a 32 inch adjustable Cam carbon bow...
It’s kinda apparent Mathews is falling behind, they missed the mark. They are a marketing beast but if you bought a V3X can you really justify buying a Phase 4? It’s the same bow. I can see this being a down year for sales just given the lack of variety and increased price across the board.
Those stabilizers are hideous. I think they missed the mark this year and that’s coming from a Mathews Fan Boi. If I had money to spend I’d buy the Mach 34 over the Phase 4.
If you’re completely new to archery then you won’t be able to notice a difference anyway. If this bow is solely for Whitetail Hunting then it won’t matter anyway. The real differences in these bows are negligible and are only really seen in experienced archers or ability to shoot more accurately...
These archery manufacturers are geniuses. They found a way to charge $200 for something that carries arrows and has zero influence of if you kill an animal or not. You have to respect the genius of Dudley’s brand and marketing.
Looking to Trade my Nock On Back Strap with a Scott leather buckle strap for a Carter Index release. Would trade straight up for a Lucky, Quickie, RX or Like Mike.
I don’t think there’s enough of the market to justify it for Mathews. It’s a new cam but I highly doubt they go away from the mod/top hat system anytime soon.
Shooting 80lbs makes sense if you’ve got a really short draw length. I guess it makes sense if your a draw like 29 inches but want to shoot 550 + arrow 280fps or more. I didn’t notice a huge difference between 68 - 74lbs but I wouldn’t want to shoot 74lbs 30 times in a hour but over 3 hours...
My Carter Like Mike II very accurate when shot both back tension and command style. If you use the back strap as a training it goes nicely with the LM II because the head is identical just larger and you can use the same exact Scott strap for both. I never had to do any type of adjustments to...
This could be just me but my V3 27 had a pretty severe dump in the draw cycle. I changed to 80% mods and that’s completely gone now, holds much more steady as well.
