    Anyone order from Bob Leisure.com

The shipping used to be free. Even though there is a charge now, it is still stupid fast seeing as how it comes from overseas. Half the stuff I order from companies a few states away takes far longer.

Hunting near Ski area in national forest?

I use a popular hiking trail to access an area I hunt sometimes and I have a breakdown recurve bow I put in my backpack, or break my shotgun down until I get to where I start hunting. It's not needed, as it is public and open for hunting, but sometimes I don't care to deal with the looks.

Day Pack Weight- How much is too much?

I keep my day pack the same of about 30lbs, if I am spiking out, camping, or just on a day hunt. I carry a bag on the load shelf to drop that has food/camp/etc but my hunting bag is still 30. And no fears are packed, I hope I have a reason to use my tarp or anything else I carry that likley...

    Why Load Shelf?

I prefer a pack that has the ability to add an independent load shelf/hauling harness. I agree with you pushing all my gear out further to have meat against my back isn't something I like. I like the load shelf for putting my camp with food etc in, I use a separate bag for all those items, that...

    Water Bladder Adapter for Filter

I'm having a hard time understanding how you could push water in without having the lid open to let air out? Can't imagine it being that difficult to remove the bladder to fill but we all do stuff differently. I also like having the bladder out and turning it upside down and sucking any air out...

    Tent recommendations

Takes less than 10 minutes. It's 2 pins and the 4 clamps. You can also undo the buttons and just fold the whole thing forward so you have the entire bed available if you are somewhere and don't have the ability to remove it. Again, I think a hard shell is probably better if you don't mind...

    Tent recommendations

I've had no complaints. you can only go to touchless car washes, and in the winter it will get ice that forms and has to be knocked off when the wetness from melting snow freezes, but otherwise no issues.

    Tent recommendations

I have a softtopper and think it's great. I don't need a canopy all the time and it's nice I can put it on or take it off in less than 10 minutes. There are times when I would prefer my old hard top but the flexibility is just great. I've had mine for maybe 4 years now and am surprised how...

Who pokes their dead animal in the eye?

I want to say that's what they told us to do in hunters saftey 30 years ago. I've never done it.

    2024 Blacktail bucks

In my experience if I am in an elky area, there isn't a lot of deer. Ofcourse there's exceptions and always some high mountain mule deer I find while rocky mountain elk hunting, and a few blacktail where I hunt Roosevelt elk, but generally lower numbers. I don't think they cohabitate well.

    Will Vehicle Prices Ever Decrease?

My mom bought a Ford Explorer yesterday. 61k. Just crazy. I bought my Tundra in 16 for 34 and a 4runner a few months after for about the same. Pretty ridiculous.

    Kuiu Venture packs

Son of a gun. I just talked myself out of this pack yesterday because a review on here said it was really poor with weight...I guess I'll find out in a few days when the new pack arrives. Did need to use email link hiding in my spam folder.

In What Order Should I Buy Gear?

Really a great time of year to start this journey, lots of similar advice in this thread to narrow the list. Lot if good sales happening right now and coming up, plus all the guys who will be offloading gear they didn't like/use this season for newer gear next year.

Yellowstone and Tetons-- June or July

We stayed in a campground, I think Madison, and there were videos playing at an outdoor theater at night which I thought was just great. I look forward to taking my kids there now that they are old enough to enjoy those kinds of things, hopefully next year. I went pretty early in the year...

Bear attack or homicide in Montana

Seriously can't even look at a tent anymore if it weighs over 4lbs because I'd never be able to " go deep", and you guys are packing coolers and decoy tents...yep, it's Monday, off to a great start.
