Yep, I always carry a backup release. And it’s always the same model as my primary, just a bit more used. I’ve needed it a couple times over the years; saved those hunts for me.

Here’s the video of the Goat Hunt that I wrote the story about. I should’ve posted it in the OP.

I’ve done more testing on these heads than anyone I know of, and have taken well over 50 animals with them. Both models are excellent. However, here are some conclusions I’ve come to:
The Swept is every bit as tough as the Full. The blades actually narrow to the same width on both models, so...
Okay, I know this is a bit "self serving" I submitted the story and pics of my recent bow hunt for a Colorado Rocky Mountain Goat to Huntin Fool Magazine and they printed it in the August Issue. Yay.
Each month they have a contest; whichever author receives the most votes, wins a $1500 Leupold...
Well, they are completely different. I like single bevels and know they have a place. I’ve taken a number of animals with them. But I see their primary place as being for super large animals, like Cape Buffalo, or for slower speed bows. When I go after a Cape Buffalo, it will be with a single...
Good question. I’ve shot both extensively and tested both for durability and taken animals with both.
Both of them fly well, but the IW is more forgiving at very long ranges and in a cross wind. I can readily pop balloons at 100 yards, you can see the vids I’ve made doing that.
For...
The other are the Bishops, both their 3 Blade and 2 Blade. I also really like the ATAC, as it flies as good or better than the IW. But the IW is much stronger than the ATAC; the Bishop is much stronger than the IW.

You have plenty of momentum and KE to drive an Exodus deep into a moose, if not all the way through. They are one of the best penetrating heads on the market, because of their incredible edge retention. That, combined with the cut size, make them an excellent choice.
The elk and African...
I’ve shot and tested both models quite a bit. I prefer the Swept. It is just as strong as the Full and it is a bit more forgiving in flight. But both are great.

I’ve shot both and tested both extensively and taken animals with both. You can see a lot of those tests on my YouTube Channel: Lusk Archery Adventures.
In short, the Exodus is the best fixed blade head in the “normal” price category. It has the best balance of flight, penetration, ferrule...
Yeah, that main blade is really thick so it won't come to as sharp of an edge as the super thin bevel of the bleeders. As for the vids, they are on my YouTube Channel: Lusk Archery Adventures. One was a goat at super long range and the other was a HUGE hog. Here are the links.
"INCREDIBLE...
Like any head; it’s all a matter of where you hit. But with a 1.87” total cut, which is the same as an Exodus, they’re better than many.

They’re certainly not the easiest blades to sharpen, but I do best with a small flat stone, like a KMT Diamond or a Spyderco stick. As long as you can follow that bevel you’re fine.
