+1. I don't know what I will do when my tensor field in long gives up! Quality brand that is comfortable with hunting!

Agree 100% with Pro. Cooking frozen burgers never produces as nice of a finished product. They steam, instead of sear. By the time you can get them crispy, they are overdone hockey pucks. I prefer to thaw a pack of burger, mix in seasoning, make patties and throw them directly on the grill...
Have a opportunity to purchase a bunch of older Lake City 30-06 brass. Is this stuff desirable to shoot out of a modern bolt action? The price is right, but will it be more work to prep than it's worth? It is all once fired. Not positive, but I imagine it was fired out of a garand. (This is a...
For lower end tents, the alps Merrimack holds up decent. Pretty nice for the money, and some nicer features than the cheaper stuff. That said, I had a Coleman sundome for summer family car camping. I hated that tent, but it wouldn't die. Shock cord on a pole broke last summer after 10 years. Got...
Roasts from the Shoulders are better fare than from the hind. We are grinding less and less. I want enough burger for burgers, but for tacos we use a roast. For pasta I do bolognese sauce from a roast. Never again will I grind a neck or a shank. Shanks are now my favorite cut.(oso bucco). Learn...
Backpacking and staying in same base layers for several days=merino. Day hunting =synthetic. I wore a strong fleece for 8 days last year straight, and found the smell distracting. [emoji1785]

Beautiful peice! For your family to really value it, they need to remember you using it and smoking everything you point it at! [emoji106]

Tough hunt with a tough weapon. Pretty steep learning curve. Success rates will be similar to flatlanders going otc Co elk hunting for the first time! [emoji12]

When the snow gets deeper and the mercury is dropping, be ready to make adjustments. Spent too much time up at treeline in Co 3rd season, and the elk had dropped down in the area. Should have not have been so stubborn, and should have checked lower elevations for sign sooner. My takeaway is if...
Brother has one. I would take a 22 with mustard seed, over that thing with 410's. Ton of fun with the l.c., and manageable with the 454. Thought it was a fun to shoot novelty gun really, but I wouldn't buy it for the .410 part of it.
