Thanks. I use to be the same way. Until I started picking moderate powder charges during the Covid times to conserve some powder, and found that animals still died at 2750 the same way they do at 2900.
All to say, I chase less velocity and more simplicity from the reloading bench now.
@TxLite Thanks for keeping up with this thread.
If you had to do it all again...would you ride with the 180s or drop to a lower weight bullet to gain a little more velocity?
I'm trying too streamline my reloading by using one powder across the board.
Currently loading the 22CM and 6.5CM with H4831.
I'd love to have a step up from 6.5 that can also use 4831. One powder to keep, one to use for all my handloading.
Suggestions?
I can measure my IDP, and it may fall within the specs of the binoculars. But is there an optimal range?
From what I've found...even if my IDP is within the binoculars specs, it doesn't often lend to the best view or best hand hold.
Guess putting them to your face is the only way to know.
If you know...you know.
Most likely you clicked this thread bc you're like me, and you have a short IPD (interpupillary distance). Yep, we got the short stick when it comes to the eye spacing. I can't comment on short issues anywhere else. Eyes only on this thread. Lol
But seriously...is...
This is true.
The Phase4 is basically a way to build in limb dampening!
@Kularrow what's your take on them? I was interested in them purely from a sound deadening stand point. My Halon is a bit noisy, and I've been chasing the noise unsuccessfully. Was looking into the limp dampening as...
I'll be here waiting to hear yalls reports! Chewing on my tag jerky (from a diff unit) that cost me 10 years of points to draw. Its pretty darn chewy.
Chevy enough to not forget that 2nd season is 2nd season is 2nd season. Even if the draw says its worth X points, and its late in the calendar...
Bc, IMO, the Phase4 as a bare bow - cost wise - is right in line with the other flagships out there.
Its the accessory game that takes it over the top.
But if those specific items add negligible improvement to the bows sound/hand feel/performance...then do without them.
Only one way to...
@JStol5 you make some good points.
I think what I'd love to see is some side by side testing of the Phase4 with ALL the accessories -vs- the Phase4 with non of the bridge lock stuff.
It seems to me that a test of that kind would help determine if the new split limbs are the driver of the...
