I just ordered the 4 pack and with tax it was $37.00. I really just could not turn that down. I was looking at some darn tough socks that are priced around 25 a pair. I know I am turning into an old codger but really. 20-30 bucks for a pair of socks?
The Selway is up today on Camofire for $286.00. At that price, it should be everyone's favorite MR pack. I think they also had the Divide and Scapegoat listed if someone wants a day pack.
All of the packs with the overload feature on a GL frame will do great packing out an animal. I hunt in the Appalachians a good bit. Not the same elevation as out West but it is rough as hell. When I am going to be fighting rough country and staying overnight I tend to want my Selway. I have...

I have never seen the pintler. I have a selway and it is made of the lighter fabric. If the pintler is made of the same fabric it should be plenty tough. My pintler cart wheeled down 1400 feet packed with 65 lbs. Only damage was a little a pinhole.
I don't have the TF-50. I have the Selway. The Selway is very similar but is a bit larger. It is 3800 ci. I think the Selway is ideal for overnight to about 3 days. I set it up for a lid and with that attached it is 4700 ci . I could do a week with that but have not yet. We packed for a week...
This pack has around 3000 ci of space. For me that is great for days, but I take more than most. For 5-7 days I would want a bigger pack. The MR Metcalf is 4000ci and the Marshal a massive 6400. I would look at one of these for a week trip. If I am out longer than a few days I take my Frontier...
