Being from Alaska....Would you consider this rifle to be acceptable for a once in a lifetime brown bear hunt? I had a lightweight Cooper in 300 WM and it was a fierce rifle to fire from the bench. Recoil was beyond tolerable with that light of weight. Thanks
My friend and I have 23 combined PP for mule deer. Both of us are senior citizens semi experienced western hunters in decent shape. Where to apply in Wyoming for an opportunity on a representative animal ?.
Could you give me a reference on Compass West. Talked to them for 2023 rifle. Sounded promising and genuine Looking for a quality hunt and opportunity for a reasonable 300 class bull.
Three of us just got back from a guided hunt in Wyoming 38 rifle. Known these guides for 20 years with much success when tags were reasonable to get. Waited 8 years for this tag. Nice tent camp with great views of the Bighorns. Decent food. Guided hunt was a complete bust!!!!! Hunted 6- 10 miles...
Hunted hard for 5 solid days in New Mexico with a quality outfitter and No competition. Been there twice before with much success but this time ZERO opportunity...... RIFLE !!!!!!! Couldn't believe it!!!!!!!
I have 17 points and hope that I can draw a bull tag before I am 90 ( I am 65) !! I have elk hunted in many western states and the bulls in PA are as big as anywhere in North America. I have a cabin up there and spend a bunch of time in the area. I once saw a 380class bull get run off by a...
Having just had both shoulders repaired in 2020 , I sold my brand new Matthews rig in fall of 2020. Therapy and exercise have gone well with full range of motion and strength back( ( I am 65 ) Not a cross bow fan and still have a few more elk hunts in mind. What I need to know is : What is...
Have hunted 38 and 37 many times mostly archery but rifle also. Would love to have a type 9 tag but only will have 8 points for 2022 So it’s rifle as I am 65 this year. Archery 37 is fine but rifle is a bit more difficult as elk usually move out. To me you cannot beat 38 for bow or rifle when...
I am frequently in the Pa elk areas. As big bulls as anywhere in North America. A 360 is probably a medium size here in Pa. Larger bulls are not uncommon and are truly old ! Body size is exceptional also. Odds to draw about 100 out of 40000!!!!
General purpose game spotting and shooting to 1000. Vortex Razor HD 65 mm 22x48 or Swaro 20x60 65mm at the higher price?? Need an opinion for this purpose!
