    New Record! Colorado elk…

As a non resident who’s done my fair share of otc hunts, I fully support closing all non res OTC tags. I’ve hunted Wyoming general and NM with a buddy who had tags and the difference is insane. I’d rather have a good hunt every 3 years then deal with the shitshow that it is now. I, along with my...

Question on hunting land in CO

Colorado state trust lands are a mess. This might explain it better- https://www.5280.com/why-state-trust-land-in-colorado-is-mostly-off-limits-for-recreation/

Stealth Cam Deceptor vs Tactacam Reveal

I have 7 tactacams - some gen 1, some gen 2 and the latest pro. I have had 0 issues outside of not using the right SD cards. They’re reliable, the app is great and they’re priced accordingly. Stealth cam has a track record of making complete junk but I’ve also not used one in years.

    243 - 1:8 twist bullet recommendation

Good info - I actually ordered from unknown munitions instead so we’ll see. I also picked up some copper creek and a box of HSM with 95 bergers second hand here so we’ll also see haha On another note - you mention federal match but federal doesn’t make a match load for the 243 unless I’m...

    Swfa zero stop shims ?

I’m not hating on SWFA (or your post) at all when I say this but it blows my mind that known high end optics are so shitty that people are turning to using a budget, known reliable scope that has to have zero stops installed with garden hose washers.

What keeps you from LR competition shooting?

I live in the Midwest and finding a place to shoot beyond 500 yards is annoyingly hard. Especially this time of year when crops are still in. So practice isn’t convenient so I don’t do it much and without practice, you’re not competing…. You get the jist of it

    243 - 1:8 twist bullet recommendation

So I just got a tikka roughtech 243 and was fortunate to get one with a 1:8 twist. I’ve been shooting precision hunter through it and it’s holding right at MOA so no huge complaints but I’m just seeing what I can get out of it…. I’m not looking to reload at the moment so I’m looking at...

Is one full day at 10,000 feet enough to acclimate for a flatlander?

I live at like 500 ft. I’ve traveled and hunted a dozen times in CO, WY and NM at altitudes varying from 6000-12000. I’ve never once taken specific time to acclimate. But I don’t get in a hurry. Ever. Don’t go out there and think you’re cam Hanes and you’ll be fine. A lot of it is based on...
