This is a hunt I need to do as well. I've euro'd a few Nilgai bulls, there's more bone in the skull of a bull nilgai than in a 2000lb charolais bull (cattle).
Only in for deer and pronghorn and not great odds on either (for my point level now vs last year) so just need to know so that I can get Wyoming Deer and Montana Pronghorn apps turned in.
Results are posted. I'm not seeing whether or not I was awarded the mule deer stamp or not.
edit: Checked my card and there's already a $150 credit on there. So whitetails only it shall be.
I'd go with a 3-4 piece travel rods. Something like a 7' Light to Medium Light spinning rod for the trout setup. I have a 4 piece Fenwick Eagle GT Light action travel rod that has caught everything from trout and bluegills to bonita (little tunnies) over 5 pounds. Its probably the best fishing...
I rarely drive anywhere without a fishing rod of some sort in tow. 80% of the rods I own are travel rods (even my spinning and casting setups). Most of the time it doesn't get used, but better to have it and not use it, than have the time and opportunity to use it and not have it.

I don't think I have had to wait this long to draw a tag in the last 7 years. Partly because some of the dates have changed and I went 5 years in a row drawing a tag in NM. But currently have 0 tags in my pocket. I will get a Kansas deer tag for sure (3 points) and hopefully a mule deer add-on...
