After 4 years of waiting I was finally able to make the trek to Christmas Island (Kiritimati). I spent two days fishing in Oahu before heading down. Weather wasn’t perfect but it was still incredible. Between both locations I caught 13 species of fish. 12 of which I had never caught before...
They can be handy sometimes. Coworker of mine didn’t have to pick up dog poop for over a year because of a pack rat. He thought it was nice until he found out where it was all going… into a storage are in his RV.
Nothing here either. 8 apps/8 unsuccessful results. I'm not sure I have got this far into a year without having a tag in my pocket already. I was trying to stay "closer" to home this year. Not looking promising. About to have to apply for Wyoming Mulies and South Dakota. At the rate I'm going I...
I use Waterworks Lamson reels in the past, but I am currently using Cheeky reels.
I just got back from fishing Hawaii and Christmas Island, Caught bonefish to 7lbs, triggerfish, and small Trevally all on my Cheeky reels.
Wyogoat - It's not actually a problem to me. I've had 1 Wyoming elk tag and 2 antelope tags in the 7 years I have been hunting out west. I could easily get a job in the oil and gas industry in Wyoming, but much like (I imagine) you wouldn't leave Wyoming, I hesitate to leave Texas.
It doesn't...
I'll wait and see what the Special draw does on Antelope. I have 7-8 deer and 4 elk points that I will probably burn in the next couple years and likely be done with Wyoming for elk at least. I'll probably always build points for antelope. After a few more years to get populations back and see...
It’s definitely not a backpacking tent. If you split it between 2-3 guys or a llama it would be manageable.
Two poles and lots of stakes is what gets you.
I bought the Courthouse this year. It's pretty awesome. Take's up very little space when packed up and could be easily compressed to take up even less space.
Sun might have made me miss the small prongs on this guy, looked tall enough and liked how he turned in. Montana was tougher than expected, lots of guys out and about and seemed like there was large areas with basically no antelope. I had access to a 35,000 acre Type 2 BMA, I killed my buck at...
I like to have at least an afternoon to get a lay of the land and put eyes on a few pronghorn. If you are talking about getting to the unit a few days after the season begins, just get there when you get there and be ready to hunt when you get to the unit. Mid-week there should be limited...
