Thanks for the response. Yeah i noticed a ton of trails over by Chickaloon. Im not gonna be to picky on finding a giant. Just something legal. I got a buddy with a plane so i might go that route. Ive never looked into this area so just putting feelers out there. Completely forgot about the 485...
Ive been thinking about doing a diy over the counter sheep hunt in 13a. Just curious if anyone has hunted this area before and could maybe help me out a little. I plan on taking a couple hikes this summer and scout a little. Im just not to sure on the area. I looked up the statistics on 13a and...
My father has one for his Cabelas instinct outfitter tent. He went to Kodiak, AK last year with his for a week. Almost went through a small bbq 20 lbs bottle in that time frame. Didnt run it through the nights he was there. He said it was awesome. Worked really well. Also have a coworker that...
Some of the prices seem pretty reasonable, but the NEW halstead and NEW chama are more expensive then last years model, bummer. Overall im pretty excited. I didnt think the price for the chamberlin was to bad considering the price for kuiu's puffy.
I get that they are getting m.ovi from livestock, so does that mean it's being passed on from people taking horses into the backcountry? Haven't actually seen any info on how its being passed on. Ive only seen info on where its coming from.
I was in the same boat as well. Just bought the Nemo Nocturne 15 off Amazon. Its 20% off right now and its prime. Cant wait to try it out up here in Alaska.
Saw on a post you have a nemo 15 bag. Ive been thinking about the nemo disco 15. Not sure if i should go with the disco or the next step up with more fill in it. Which 15 bag do you have? How has your bag been?
I definitely agree with above posters, the layout (hotdog) style of the instict/outfitter has much better usable space compared to the guide tents. Guide tents are true and proven though. My dad has the 8 person guide xwt and it is definitely a great tent. We used his until i got the outfitter...
I have the instinct outfitter tent, the original version, 10x14. Love love love the tent. I can fit 4 guys on cots, stove, and gear. Ive used it the last 2 years up here in Alaska for my moose and caribou hunts. Holds up very well to wind, lots of head room, and love the double layer of...
I have the first version of this tent, the 10x14. Bought it 2 years ago. Use it as my base camp. The 10x14 sleeps 4 people on cots and room for stove still. Its a awesome tent, but has its flaws that have now been addressed with the new versions (10x10 and 12x16 tents). Its great against wind...
