Well when I went to pick up my T3x Superlite in 7mm-08 and lo and behold it was sold. Really intrigued by the 6.5CM is there any reason to choose the 6.5CM over the 308 or vice versa in the same rifle outside of ammo availability.
Will be picking up my Tikka T3x Superlite and wanted some info on stock painting. Love the rifle but wanted to add some pizzazz to it. I'm a fan of the textured web pattern. Is there any bit of difference having it professionally done or doing it myself? Also which paints would be recommended...
Was actually able to find a few of the models I was looking and after comparing the Tikka T3x and Christensen Arm Mesa I decided to go Tikka T3x in 7mm-08 the money I'll be saving i can put some good glass on it and put a limbsaver on it. Any other accessories I should be looking at?
Ok. After much debate back and forth I have decided to go with Christensen Arms. I really want a 30-06 so that leaves the Ridgeline as my option but if I go .308 I'd go with the Mesa.
So after doing some research. The Weatherby and Bergara are a little heavy for my tastes. The Tikka T3x, Browning X-Bolt, Christensen Arms, and Winchester Model 70 fit the bill.
I've been to a ton a of gun shops and the shelves are bare. I will really need to do my research because I will have to take a flyer and get one off of gun broker. My last rifle was a Mossberg Patriot in .270 I really liked the rifle but looking for something nicer since the budget allows it.
