I definitely agree with that statement. If I want to take this seriously having the best functional equipment would be paramount. I would love a tikka in 6mm creedmoor though.
Ok roksliders I'm back and need some stock advice. I've racked by brain for over a year on a new rifle and have decided to go with the Tikka T3x stainless in 6.5CM and plan on pairing it with UM Tikka rings and a Trijicon Credo HX 2.5-15x42 scope. As far as stock choices which will be done later...
Once again kicking a rifle idea around. I have gone thru all the threads regarding the 223, 6.5, 6mm/243, 7mm-08 and think I have decided to go 6mm Creedmoor. For my needs it seems like it work perfectly. Only issue is not many factory offerings. I'm kicking around the idea of buying a stainless...
Hello Roksliders. The family and I will be moving to Wake Forest, NC in a few days does anyone know of any shooting ranges that will allow me to shoot beyond 100 yards thats within reasonable distance of Wake Forest?

Show and detail your results harvesting big game (deer, bear, elk, moose, African game) using the 7mm-08. Please detail bullet, MV, impact velocity, and whether hand load or...
So you're building a rifle and not wanting to go the Tikka T3X 6.5 Creedmoor route. You want to shoot sane distances but you want to get into longer range hunting eventually prefer factory ammo support but would consider reloading no 30 cals and because America 223, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 6mm...
Let me say this before the obvious incoming. Tikka T3x lite or superlite in 6.5 Creedmoor shooting a 147 ELDM that will get you to 6-700 depending on your barrel.
That depends on state really some states don't allow that small of caliber for hunting. I hunt MD and VA. MD only requires 1250 ft lbs at the muzzle while VA requires .23 cal and above. If you hunt in a state that allows go for the .223
