Thanks for the feedback guys. That helps.

How are the FL and the Kryptek at repelling burrs?
I've got the super heavy wool Cabelas Stand Hunter bibs and Jacket. Warm for single digits, but walking through the woods here in IA, you spend 1.5 hrs picking all the dang burrs out...
So, sounds like their gear is pretty solid. What about their merino bases then? I know FL seems to be the go to, but just wondering about the top mainly because of the camo. I never pay extra for camo base layer pants.
How's got experience with Kryptek's merino base layers and their other clothing items? I don't hear much about them here and wondering why.
I've got their Valhalla pants, Kratos puffy, and their Koldo Rain gear. Love the pants, Koldo is great except for the hood, puffy is OK.
I really like the...
I haven't heard of the coleman lantern difference. I have been able to track a few in the late season when most of the leaves and such have lost color.
Has any one tried the Enchroma lenses? I may give them a try. Expensive, but a 30 day money back guarantee.

I was wondering how many of you struggle with this like I do.
I most always have a hard time finding blood when I am tracking an animal, especially in Iowa when the leaves are falling and turning colors. Usually I'm OK when they drop withing sight, I hear them crash, or there is a massive...
I hunted Montana this Sept in a pair of Speedcross with OR Gaiters and really liked it. When they did get soaked albiet a stream crossing or heavy morning dew, they and my socks were dry within a few hours or every morning at least. Took them up through the rocks and over the dead fall. I could...
Thanks for all the input guys.
I just bought a pound of H4350 to work up a suitable load and I'll pack a chrono if I have the room. (I'll be flying out last minute)
I remember looking for this powder when I started reloading a year ago and ended up with the IMR4350 and some H414 as it was the...
Does anyone have a suggestion on working up a load before heading out West when the temps will be single digits or less?
The loads I developed last fall in IA, temps around 50*. Will they work at altitude with temps around 0*? Will there be much of a difference? Or should I not be concerned...
Not sure, my contact in Montana that invited me says where we will hunt won't be good until the weather goes to crap.
So I'll be booking a flight as soon as I get the word that the forecast has highs in the single digits!!
Good luck with your hunt.
