Thanks for reading. Palmer is pretty great. Being on the road system has so many advantages. But being off the road system can be nice too. Nowhere is perfect. If you're an archery hunter, Chris at Screaming Eagle Archery is such a good dude.

SE Alaska Sitka Deer Hunting, By Jeff Lund

It happens. Early-mid September can be awesome, but the weather usually ruins all hope. Good luck in November.

My South East Alaska Bear hunt of 2023

It's brutal in ways so many people aren't ready for. Even if you have been around, Alaska always has another level.

Moving from east cost VA to WY

Lots of great opportunities there. Figuring out game units can be a bit of a hassle. It was opener for mule deer, but cow elk was open and my wife had tags for both. The Fog Factor while hunting Mountain Goat

Some people never move in fog. Some use it strategically in the right circumstances. Which are you? I've got an article coming out in the next few days about handling fog on a recent goat hunt in SE Alaska. I'm sure the reaction will be mixed. Stay tuned.

Sagebrush Dry Gear Review, by Jeff Lund

I believe it is the same company, hence the sagebrush which we do not have here in Southeast Alaska. The new owners had a few years of tutoring from the original owners to ensure the quality would continue.
