I just swapped to the Argali from the Benchmade. Needed something with less “belly” for whitetail.
Love the Benchmade for skinning. Not so much for the soft stuff and work around bones.

I’m not positive, but it sounds to me like the new locking lugs (not bolts) are the issue. Try putting some black Sharpie on them, close the action, then open back up. Post pics if you can of that.

That’s the plan right now, but I’m interested if that’s the best option, especially for the action, both inside and out. I can easily get all other replacement parts in stainless (screws, bolt handle, action screws or at least stainless look alike (floor plate, trigger guard, bolt cover thing in...
I am interested in having a Browning A Bolt II re-barreled to a non-standard Browning caliber. Ideally, it would be a Stainless Stalker as a donor, but the only good candidate I have is a blued action. So, my question, is, are there coatings out there than can make the blued action as corrosion...
This is what I was going to recommend as well. Especially if you like standard .246 diameter, they are tough to beat for a lower gpi setup in 250 spine.
Another good option is the Easton Sonic 6mm if you prefer that slightly smaller diameter.
Good options for components for both as well.
Profile pic shows it mounted in a KRG Bravo. Far less than 100 rounds down the pipe. Stock and bottom plastic never used. $585 shipped from individual to FFL.

I received a new SWFA 2.5-10x32 today. Got it mounted up and happened to take off the elevation turret cap. Twisted it off, went to turn it back on, and it won’t tighten up. Feels like it’s stripped even though I didn’t put any type of tension on it at all. I try the windage cap on the elevation...
They had WSSM Browning A Bolt II’s as well. They sell for ridiculous prices when they come up on GB. They are a completely different sized action on those as well.

I posted on another forum, thinking there might not be much love for the .257 Roberts here, but a recent thread has me thinking there’s some interest in it, so here goes:
I am loading for a Browning A Bolt in .257 Roberts. I had some factory HSM 117 Bergers that would not shoot well at all. Bad...
Anyone have experience on game with the Hornady 110gr CX mono bullet? I load for a .30-30 AI single shot and got a couple boxes cheap. The fire form loads are very accurate with Varget, but I’m curious if anyone has used them on game? Speeds are at least somewhat similar to .300 Blackout...
If you want to handgun to maybe hunt, get a handgun for that and have fun with it. The pistols you already have are good for your situation.
