Some good picks, throw jack O’Connor and PO Ackley in there. Wouldn’t care if I shot anything, as long as could have a whiskey and talk about rifles around the fire with those two!

Father in Law stated the cost roughly 2/3 the cost of flying, So it is cheaper. The trip from MT to PA took roughly 2 days, so about twice as long as being in airports/Aircraft, Depending where your at.
For easterners wanting to travel west, and stall be affordable with Luggage, It might be a...
Curious to know if anyone from the east has taken train west on hunting trips? Brought this up with my Father in law, he took the train from Montana to Pennsylvania last year.
Seems it would be a good option for packing coolers, luggage etc, would give you the freedom to work if WiFi avail, and...
Best reason, if you want to, you should. I grew up in Alberta hunting Sheep, whitetail, Mule, Elk, Moose etc. and moved North of Pittsburgh 8 years ago for work. And first 16-18 hours were the norm, now managing projects in an office m, still 10-12 hours/day 5 days wit a few hours doing...
Kimber montana here too. Mine is a .270 mag. Shoots 140 Barnes under 3/8” great rifle.
I also like the old Ruger all weather skeleton stock, but don’t think you willl find it in 6.5
Why you want 6.5? Not that the aren’t great, but if I was looking at kimber’s for hunting, I would get a 280...
Wait it out, far less risk in him bolting rather than trying to close the gap. Unless you are better than average at stalking?
Not that it’s relevant, Had a buck walk in front of my stand once, walked straight towards a Friend in a stand 100 yds from me, he thought I didn’t see him so he rifled...
Yes, correct, 1@100,2@200, etc.
Look up Ryan Cleckner/MOA on you tube. Explains it pretty clear.
For me, I sight in 2” high @ 200 and hold on to 200, high on the shoulder @ 300 etc.
Shoot and get experienced, when you are confident in your rifle and load you will know.
if you have doubts...
For gas vehicles, there are a lot off units out there with excess of 200k plus miles that are still good usable vehicles. I wouldn't be scared of buying one with over 100k, wouldn't really be looking for one over 150k though.
Toyota, you cant beat. The 2006 pre tundra's are nice, though a bit...
Have you had a trailer hooked to it recently? Check your fuses, my 07 blew a trailer brake light fuse due to a shitty wired trailer and set off every warning light in he dash.

Lots of votes for the 7-08, it has one from me as well. I would stick with 6.5-7 mm bullets. (.264-284”)
For a lady, I would say 6.5x284, 6.5 CM, 284win, 7-08 etc. good bullet selection with factory.
6.5x55 or 257 Roberts are great too, just make sure you have +p loads with good bullet...
Shouldn't affect any accuracy. More to the point, air pressure in front of your bullet should separate the tape prior to the bullet making contact with the tape, or the gasses behind your bullet making contact with the tape covering your ports. It wont affect accuracy. IP
Had a close call with debris/barrel, when i was a kid walking thru willows hunting whitetails, felt something tug and let loose on the barrel, didn't feel right, i tipped my rifle upside down and a 2" twig fell out of the barrel. i now use electrical tape long strip so i can shoot and retape. IP
